About Around La Porte
Around La Porte is the brainchild of long-time La Porte resident Margaret Anderson. Since the closing of the Bayshore
Sun, many LP citizens have complained to Maggie of the loss of such an important source of information on LP happenings.
Several suggested that she should start a newspaper, and - thankfully - convinced her she could do it.
Printed
newspapers may be a dying industry, but not, she felt, in our small community. And from the reception Around La
Porte has received, she was correct.
